UbiDuo Replaces Interpreters, Company Claims -- ASL Community Disagrees

sComm, a technology company, developed UbiDuo to break down communication barriers. The Face to Face communicator works like an instant messenger. For some in the Deaf community, it's no substitute for an ASL interpreter and they feel the company's promotion is misleading hearing companies.

It was intended to mean that the majority of Deaf ASL users prefer an ASL interpreter. Statistically speaking the majority of people who are deaf do not use ASL.
